Although our Chapel is not intended to compete against the reverence and respect of the church, it has been tastefully designed as an option for those who do not wish a formal church setting. Conveniently located within the funeral home, it provides a dignified setting for family, friends and the community to gather together and pay tribute to the deceased.

Speers Family Centre is located at 2333 Cornwall Street, just two buildings north of Speers Funeral Chapel.

Our newly renovated Family Centre can accommodate you and your loved ones for a reception following an evening visitation, prayer service or after a funeral/memorial service.

Speers Family Centre would not be out of place in any decorating magazine now that the carefully selected tables and chairs have been put in place.

In addition to being fully renovated inside and out, our reception centre has been completely outfitted to handle all audio/visual needs.

The Family Centre will provide a peaceful and comfortable place for families to gather for a reception or for funeral services.

Full catering services are available as well.

The menu for your reception can be a simple afternoon tea with dainties and squares, a luncheon with assorted sandwiches, cheese, fruits and veggies or full meals like lasagna or dry ribs, with sides like caesar salad and garlic toast and even with canolli's for dessert.
